Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and JG Dev, the developer of ScopeBid ("ScopeBid", "the app", "we", "us"). By downloading, installing or using the app you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Eligibility
ScopeBid is a business tool intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and legally able to enter contracts to use it.
2. License
You receive a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use ScopeBid on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. Apple's standard licence agreement (EULA) applies where these Terms are silent. The app, its design, code and branding remain our intellectual property; no rights are transferred to you other than this license.
3. Your content and your responsibility
Everything you create in ScopeBid — quotes, prices, customers, photos, history — is yours. It is stored on your device; we claim no rights to it and hold no copy. You are solely responsible for the content of every document you create and send, including its accuracy, legality, pricing, tax treatment, and compliance with the laws, licensing rules and invoicing requirements that apply to your business and your customers.
4. Not professional advice
ScopeBid is a quoting, job-tracking and invoicing tool. It is NOT accounting, bookkeeping, tax, legal, insurance or financial software, and nothing it displays or produces — prices, margins, profit figures, totals, suggestions, reminders or insights — constitutes professional advice of any kind. All calculations are arithmetic performed on numbers you enter. Always verify every figure and every document before relying on it or sending it, and consult a qualified professional for tax, legal or accounting decisions.
5. No guarantee of business results
We make no promise that using ScopeBid will win you work, increase your revenue, improve your pricing, or produce any particular business outcome. Statistics shown in the app (such as time saved or win rates) are derived from your own recorded activity and are informational only.
6. Your data and backups
Your business data lives only on your device. You are responsible for keeping backups using the app's export tools (Settings → Your Data) and your own device backups. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data caused by device loss or failure, deletion of the app, failed device backups, iOS updates, or any other cause.
7. ScopeBid Pro subscription
- ScopeBid Pro is an auto-renewable subscription: monthly (scopebid_monthly, 1 month) or annual (scopebid_annual, 1 year). The annual plan may include a free trial for eligible new subscribers; the exact price for your region is always shown in the app and on the App Store before you confirm.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Manage or cancel any time: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. All billing, refunds and payment disputes are handled exclusively by Apple under App Store terms — we never see or store your payment details.
- If your subscription ends, everything you made stays viewable, searchable and exportable in the app.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use ScopeBid to break any law; to produce fraudulent, deceptive or misleading documents; to infringe anyone's rights; or to copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or disrupt the app or its subscription service. We may terminate the license of any user who materially breaches these Terms.
9. Third-party services
Purchases are processed by Apple. Subscription receipts are validated by RevenueCat (our subscription infrastructure provider) using an anonymous identifier. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
10. Availability and changes
ScopeBid works offline by design. We may update, change or discontinue features at any time, and may update these Terms by posting a revised version here with a new effective date; continued use after a change means you accept it. If a paid feature is materially discontinued, Apple's refund policies apply.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT CALCULATIONS WILL BE FREE OF MISTAKES.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, GOODWILL OR DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP — INCLUDING ERRORS IN QUOTES, INVOICES, PRICING OR CALCULATIONS — EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US THROUGH THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR FIFTY US DOLLARS (US$50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you; in that case liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from documents you create or send with the app, your business dealings with your customers, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the consumer-protection law of your country of residence grants you non-waivable rights. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us first and give us 30 days to resolve the issue informally.
15. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect. These Terms, together with Apple's EULA and our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the app.
